SCHOOL NEWS

  • A reminder that there is no parking allowed in front of the school.  Several cars have been parking there during drop off and pickup times.  Also note that you may only exit on 4th avenue.  The entrance is on Springford.

  • Thank you to everyone who entered our Literacy Week Contests.  The bookmarks all look amazing, and it’s so lovely to see everyone reading together with their families.  Congratulations to our photo winner Natalia Sofia (Div 6) and our Bookmark winners:  Kaylee (Div 8) and Linden (Cohort 1).

  • As in previous years, families can choose to purchase an optional student accident insurance plan for their children through the “InsureMyKids” program, underwritten by Old Republic Insurance Company of Canada.  This program offers protection against the potentially high costs of any injury resulting from unexpected accidents.  See www.insuremykids.com

for more information.

School Story in Action 2024-2025

February 7

January 26th to February 1st was Family Literacy Week. Families and the school community were encouraged to spend some time together with books to raise awareness of the importance of reading and to engage in other literacy related activities. Students could also participate in a photo contest and bookmark contest. Students ended week with Flashlight Friday - reading in their classrooms.

This links to our School Story focus in the following way:

This is the lens we are currently using. We continue to develop and respond to changes in our community.
