SCHOOL NEWS

  • Big congratulations to our Grade 6 and 7 Volleyball team.  They closed out the season UNDEFEATED!

  • We welcome students in Grades 2 to 5 to join an extra-curricular basketball program run by one of our community/parent volunteers, Jason Birring.  Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and active environment for students to work together to develop basketball skills and learn to be good sports while playing together with their peers.  This will take place on Thursdays from 2:45 to 3:45, starting December 5th.  Please see Ms. Ho for a permission form to join.

  • The Richmond School District will determine school closures due to inclement weather by 6:30am.  Updates will be delivered using social media and district websites.  School closures will also be announced by local radio and television.  If snowfall begins while school is in session, in most circumstances, schools will remain open until the end of the school day.

School Story in Action 2024-2025

November 27, 2024

This week we would like to highlight the staff name bulletin board outside the office. We have previously mentioned the work around names as part of creating belonging within the Steves community. Just like how the students had done in Cohort 1, the staff wanted to share their names stories and how this is part of their identity to build connections.

This links to our School Story focus in the following way:

  • Steves is a safe learning community where we strive to create a sense of belonging and build connections. (Steves School Lens).
