Hello Steves Families,
We hope you all had a fun and restful summer.
We are excited to welcome you back next week for our 2024/2025 school year!
The first day of school will be on Tuesday, September 3rd. Please note that students in grades 1 thru 7 will be attending for one hour on this first day: 8:45am to 9:45am. Our Kindergarten students will be attending for 45 minutes (8:45am to 9:30am).
The PAC (Parent Advisory Council) will have coffee and snacks available in the gym during this time if you would like to wait. Please enter the gym thru the outside gym door, off the parking lot.
All returning students will spend the first week in their old classrooms from the 2023/2024 school year. Please line up outside the same door as last year. Our returning grade 1 students (K last year), will line up outside door # 8.
Kindergarten students will line up outside doors # 9 and # 10, in the back of the school. We will have our Resource teachers there to help on the first day. All new Kindergarten families have been emailed the gradual entry information already. Please find the schedule attached to this email. If you do not know if you are in Group A or B, please email or call the office for a reminder.
Any NEW students to Steves, who are not in Kindergarten, are asked to report to the office, near the main entrance to the school. We will welcome you, and have a teacher or volunteer student escort you to your classroom.
Our parking lot had a little upgrade over the summer. Please note that the entrance to the school is on Springford Avenue, and the exits are on 4th Avenue. See the map attached to understand the flow of traffic. The new additional parking lot will be for staff use only, which will free up additional spots in our main lot. If your children are in an older grade, please attempt to use our drop-off / pick-up lane.
Attached to this email is a Request to Administer Medication form. If your child has allergies requiring an epi pen, or has any other medication needed, please return this completed form and the medication to the office next week.
