SCHOOL NEWS

  • A reminder that K registrations are ongoing – and Montessori siblings need to apply for District Options by January 20 to qualify for sibling priority.
  • Thanks to those who contributed to our online Coin Drive to help our Steves families.   Donations accepted until tomorrow!  Also, we are extending our Food Bank collection to next Wednesday.  We are hoping to receive one item from each student.  Please help, if you are able.
  • There will be no Week Ahead next Friday – we’ll be in touch again in January!

SCHOOL CLUBS

We are lucky to have teacher sponsors for several clubs at Steves.

  • Games Club:  students of all grades are welcome to meet in the Library at lunch on Wednesdays to play board games, do puzzles, etc.
  • Rainbow Clubis a Steves initiative created to ensure a safe and inclusive space for all including: 2SLGBTQIA+ students, allies, those who have questions and are curious, those who need a space to be and those who want to join activities. The Rainbow Club aligns with the Richmond School District SOGI policy. We are required to create safe spaces where children of all gender orientations can be present, represented, play together and understand inclusive language. Students engage in fun age-appropriate activities and learning, including crafts, games, and books.
  • Breakfast Club:  we’re pleased that we’ve been having a great response to our Friday Breakfast Club!  We serve toast, jam, cream cheese, juice and granola bars to between 80 and 100 students!  Students are welcome to socialize while eating, or play in the gym.  Thank you to the district Feed-U-Cate initiative for funds to purchase food for this club.

PAC/RAM NEWS

  • Tomorrow, December 9, is the deadline to order Mr. Cooper’s Pies!
  • Sunday is the deadline to order for Friday’s Pizza Factory lunch.
  • Hot Lunch dates for the new year are on the school website, and will be available on MunchaLunch for ordering starting on  Monday.  Please note, from January, popcorn treat days will be moved to Thursdays – alternate weeks to the hot lunch.

ENJOY A RESTFUL WINTER BREAK WITH YOUR FAMILY!
