This fall, teachers began a deeper exploration of student writing at Steves. We used classroom based  writing samples and FSA data to get a better understanding of where students were at.  We found that writing was an area where our students needed some support and opportunities for growth, which meant that as a staff, we would need to come together to review our own practice. We have now reoriented our staff professional development to support our common goal of improving student writing.
