SCHOOL NEWS

  • Thank you to the families who donated to the Richmond Poppy Fund.  The funds have been sent.

  • BURR Sweater Day is coming!  On Tuesday, Nov 21 please remind your child that we will be encouraging wearing warm clothing to school to experience how much clothing can keep us warm when it’s just a little bit cooler in the school.  The purpose is to encourage students to remember when it feels chilly to bundle up instead of turning up the thermostat.  Steve’s Green Team will go around taking photos of students dressed to stay warm.

  • Yarn Club starts Nov 24 and will take place every Friday during the first part of lunchtime.  Students in grades 4 - 7 are invited to learn how to knit, crochet, or weave.

  • Rainbow Club is a Steve’s initiative created to ensure a safe and inclusive space for all including: 2SLGBTQIA+ students, allies, those who have questions and are curious, those who need a space to be and those who want to join activities.  The Rainbow Club aligns with the Richmond School District SOGI policy. We are required to create safe spaces where children of all gender orientations can be present, represented, play together and understand inclusive language. Students engage in fun age-appropriate activities and learning, including crafts, games, and books.
