Our School Story in Action

Each week, we will try to share a part of our School Story and how it applies to our community's daily learning.  Our School Story is based on the Core Competencies found in the BC Curriculum.

We would like to introduce the Knitting/Crochet Club. The Knitting/Crochet Club meets weekly in the Library Learning Commons. Students grade 5 to 7 with different levels of experience meet to work on their own projects as well as contribute to our Steves community knit blanket and Progressive Pride Flag.

This links to our School Story focus in the following way:

Identifying personal strengths and abilities - "Students acknowledge their strengths and abilities, and they intentionally consider these as assets, helping them in all aspects of their lives. Students understand that they are unique and are a part of larger, and often multiple, communities. They explain how they are using their strengths and abilities in their families, their relationships, and their communities.”
